Financial Assistance

Preventing Homelessness

The Mission helps families in crisis through our Homeless Prevention Program, which provides emergency financial assistance for rent and utility bills. Those who come to us for help are often facing eviction or having their utilities shut-off. We work one-on-one with them, providing budget counseling, resource referral and case management.

In 2011, we prevented 112 families from being evicted, prevented 105 families from having their utilities from being shut off and taught 144 people budgeting skills.

To make an appointment for assistance, please call Della Davis at (859) 381-9600, ext. 237, on the first Tuesday of the month, between 9 a.m. and noon.
