The Lexington Rescue Mission Thrift Store offers quality merchandise at low prices.
Open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., the thrift store provides:
  • Affordabe prices - We have the cheapest prices in town.
  • Wide selection - Over 10,000 pieces of clothing are on display every day.
  • Support for the Mission - Recovery program participants gain valuable vocational training, and all proceeds support the ongoing work of the Mission.

Our thrift stores, located at 720 Bryan Avenue and 487 East New Circle Road, are more than just stores...they are a ministry to the neighborhood around the Mission. You can help support this ministry with your donations and purchases. We accept donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, household items, hardware and electronics during store hours. Sharon's Story

Sharon began coming to the thrift store long before it was taken over by Lexington Rescue Mission. But when her husband passed away last year, it became more than a place to shop.

"If it hadn't been for the thrift store, I would have gone crazy because they helped me through a whole lot. I was all by myself. I didn't know where my next income was going to come from. I didn't know how long my husband's insurance was going to last. This place has been a blessing to me!" says Sharon.

Sharon visits the store every couple of days. Sometimes, she just stops by to chat or shop. Other times, she'll volunteer and lend a hand wherever needed most - putting clothing on the racks or straightening shelves.

She has also put her artistic talents to use, painting a mural on the door on the Limestone Street side of the building. She wants to give back to those who have given her so much.

"The people here have been much more than friends." she says. "They're my family."
